The short analysis...is probably one of the most difficult papers I've ever written, especially since I don't have a firm grasp of language identities/features.
For the quality of the research question, I'd give myself about a 12 or 13, mostly because I'm unsure about whether or not it is a viable research question for this project.
In terms of the categories for analysis, I'd give myself a 10 because I'm not 100% certain that what I did in the paper were the proper categories, or even categories at all.
With regards to relevant examples, I'd give myself...about a 15.
Direct statements, I'd give myself a 5, mostly because I'm not sure if I made the statements direct enough.
For organization, I'd give myself at least a 7.
For the conclusion, I'd also give myself 7, since I believe my conclusion is much more clearer than the rest of the paper.
For grammar, I'd give myself an 8 or 9, since grammar is usually not an issue for me, especially since I've been writing for about 7 or 8 years now.
All in all, I'd give myself a 73, so about a C.
Basically, what it comes down to is this...I need to have a better understanding of the material before I begin the assignment. I don't know if I'm the only one who felt like I was walking around blind while writing this paper, but that is essentially what it was like for me all of last week and the weekend. Not only that, but I need to learn how to develop better research questions. This is about the fourth time that I made a research question for a paper and ended up feeling like it just wasn't a research question that was expected of me.
